NEBS

Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) is a Telcordia standard which defines how telecomms equipment for Central Office (CO) deployment should be designed. NEBS GR-63-CORE defines the requirements for Physical Protection including: product thermal testing, vibration resistance (earthquakes, office, transportation), fire suppression, short-term operational requirements (4 days at -5C to 55C), and product packaging.
