ABOUT US TECHNOLOGY DESIGN QUALIFY INTEGRATE SUPPORT
Multicore DSPs (TCI6487, TCI6488) have VLIW architecture. Each core has 8 functional units to support 8 16 bit MACs per cycle. On-chip memory can be configured as L1 or L2 cache and external DRAM memory is provided. The DSPs have high speed serialisers for communication with the other card elements. Use your own RTOS or software from our partners to support, for example 4G LTE: PHY, eNodeB or MIMO.

Xilinx Virtex FPGAs have internal memory and DSP48E1 slices and support SRIO, PCI Express and Ethernet (1000Base). Softcore MicroBlaze processors can support Linux or VxWorks OS. They can provide security and encryption (such as AES, DES, 3DES, HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-MD3, SNOW-3G, IPSec & GTP).

An integral SRIO switch provides a high bandwidth infrastucture between DSP and FPGA elements for the control plane and data plane at up to 10 GBaud.
DSP
CommAgility is a TI DSP Third Party Network member. The very best DSP technology is selected for our products. Multiple single core (TMS320C6455) or multicore (TMS320C6678 & TMS320C6670) DSPs, along with software provided by our partners facilitates the embedded processing for your OEM application.

FPGA
CommAgility is a Xilinx Third Party Alliance member. Xilinx Virtex FPGAs provide solid performance and are backed up with excellent support. Firmware is provided by partners. In addition to logic elements, the FPGAs have DSP blocks, internal & external (DDR2 / DDR3 / Flash) memory and high-speed transceivers

RF
Precision multi-channel RF interfaces provide support for MIMO LTE and LTE advanced applications.

INFRASTRUCTURE
The processing elements are interconnected with high bandwidth, low latency SRIO links. Some boards support front panel or backplane SRIO, PCI Express, Ethernet, XAUI or a fibre optic air interface or backhaul at up to 10 GBits/s and 1PPS, GPS or IEEE1588 clock synchronisation.

SUPPORT / GLUE LOGIC
Application requirements cost and space constraints define all component selections including: OCXOs, integral GPS receivers, PLLs, MMC, PSUs, and temperature sensors.
