CommAgility's projects

CommAgility participates in leading-edge research projects, including the following.

5g carmen logo square smallCommAgility is one of the participants in the 5G-CARMEN project (5G for Connected and Automated Road Mobility in the European unioN). The project is coordinated by Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), and has obtained a total funding of 18.5 million euros. It will build a 5G-enabled corridor from Bologna to Munich to conduct cross-border trials of 5G technologies in three major use cases: vehicle manoeuvre negotiation (at various levels of automation), infotainment, and emission control. For more details, see https://www.5gcarmen.eu.

It aims to research, develop and showcase a unified programmable control framework for 5G heterogeneous radio access networks. The project uses CommAgility’s software products, SmallCellPHY LTE and SmallCellSTACK LTE protocol stack, and CommAgility’s AMC-K2L-RF2 hardware processing platform, for customisation to support the project goals, and to demonstrate the 5G COHERENT concepts.  For more details, visit the COHERENT website.
